Evaluating the competence development of pupils
Each European project has to implement a number of evaluation activities. Apart from the usual internal and external evaluation activities aiming at ensuring the smooth workflow and quality of the project and its outcomes, CLIMES will also introduce an innovative approach to evaluate the competence development of the students involved in implementing the CLIMES management approach in their schools.
For this purpose the evaluation approach LEVEL5, which has been developed and piloted in the framework of three Grundtvig projects (ACT!, ACT-NET, VIP), will be applied. LEVEL5 is a methodology especially suitable to evaluate informal learning processes. Evaluation topics will be: climate related issues, as well as collaboration and management skills.
The results will be documented in the web-based LEVEL5 software system – volunteers receive a unique certificate in which their competence development is thoroughly documented and visualised.
